Brownstone Houses

by Knox Bhavan Architects

A pair of beautifully crafted new London Brownstone houses set within an Edwardian terrace in North Dulwich. A combination of materials including larch cladding, brick, stone and galvanised steel were used.  The houses have a timber framed construction, with a stone frontage facing onto the street. The street elevation is a contemporary reworking of the Edwardian street typology. It has terracotta sandstone laid in ashlar courses; with white sandstone lintols, columns, and cills aligning with the stucco bands on the neighbouring houses either side.
